How you can prepare for virtual job interviews from home.

So you have scored a job interview (woohoo!) during a pandemic (fyi it's 2020 at time of writing this), but you will need to perform it virtually with the employer, which has now caused anxiety over what you should wear and putting your home life on display.

When planning on what to wear to the interview, definitely wear pants or a skirt!

Don't go pantless!!

Even though you may think they can’t see the lower half of your body, you don’t want to take the risk of if they can or be violating any workplace policy straight away. I like this article by job search site Indeed on how to dress for a job interview.

The safest way to dress is to wear what you would if the interview was in-person. It will also help you to be in the right frame of mind for your interview.

And when setting up your background for the virtual interview, use the “Drake method”. This method is where you set you camera to point at a bare corner of a wall.

It is the best thing to do, as it reveals nothing about you personally or any questionable interior decorating and life choices.
