621 ABC Radio Brisbane
Guest Interview — Drive Program (May 2016)

In May 2016, we were invited as a guest on the Drive Program on 612 ABC Radio Brisbane to discuss a topic affecting workplaces across Australia: managing workplace peer pressure.
During the live interview, we explored:
-
Why peer pressure doesn’t end in high school
-
How workplace culture can subtly influence behaviour
-
The difference between healthy collaboration and harmful conformity
-
Practical strategies for maintaining professional integrity under pressure
The conversation resonated strongly with listeners, reinforcing the importance of confident communication, ethical decision-making and self-leadership in modern workplaces.
The West Australian
Lights, Camera, Interview (2019)
As video technology reshaped recruitment across Australia, we were featured in The West Australian discussing the rapid rise of Skype and video interviews in the hiring process.
In the 2019 article “Lights, Camera, Interview,” our Director, Rachel Green, explained how interview formats vary widely depending on the role, organisation and location of candidates — but one trend was clear: video interviewing was becoming a powerful first stage in recruitment, particularly for rural, interstate and overseas applicants.
The piece explored the difference between Skype interviews — where candidates see the interviewer — and pre-recorded video interviews, where they often don’t. It also highlighted practical strategies for candidates, including:
-
Creating a professional, distraction-free environment
-
Managing lighting and sound for clarity and impact
-
Testing technology well in advance
-
Dressing professionally — even for virtual settings
-
Practising responses out loud to build confidence and presence
Above all, the message was simple: treat every video interview as seriously as a face-to-face meeting. Professionalism, preparation and presence still matter — perhaps more than ever.
