When an employer asks you this question, it is your chance to shine and demonstrate why you are a worthy candidate for the role and what value you will bring to their company, the position and the team.
Before answering the question, think carefully about what it is they are looking for in the applicant. This can be found under the key selection criteria or requirements of the position on the job advertisement.
The value that you can bring should relate to the requirements. If you are going to make a bold statement to sell yourself to the employer, it’s a good idea to back yourself up with evidence of this, by providing an example.
Stick to 3 reasons why they should hire you, and it would even be a good idea at the end of mentioning your three reasons to be more specific about what you can do for their company if they hire you.
