Coaching Options
Flexible coaching that fits your schedule.
Every session features a full mock interview, allowing you to practise your responses, body language, and presence under realistic conditions.
A 90-minute session gives us more time to go deeper and work through a wider range of questions in detail. If you prefer something shorter, you can book a 30-minute or 60-minute session, or choose to split your coaching into two 1-hour sessions for more flexibility and space to reflect between sessions.
30-minutes / 60-minutes / 90-minutes

Wondering whether you’ll need a 60-minute or 90-minute session, or more than one session?
In a 90-minute session, there’s more time to go deeper into each topic. This supports mock interviews, detailed feedback, and focused practice on specific skills or scenarios.
Benefits of a longer session
The longer session allows for a more thorough review of your interview performance, including strengths, gaps, and clear areas to improve. Extra time creates space for additional mock interviews, giving you more opportunities to refine your answers, delivery, and responses with feedback.
Choosing the right option
A one-hour session works well if you want a focused review of specific areas. A 90-minute session is better if you want more practice and deeper feedback.
You can also book more than one session, which works well if you’re preparing over time or want to build skills step by step. If you’re unsure, your coach can help you decide after the first session and let you know if another session would be useful.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What happens during a 1-on-1 interview coaching session?
Our sessions are practical and tailored to you, not a generic lecture. We focus heavily on a realistic mock interview based on the specific industry, company, and role you are targeting. We will practice handling difficult behavioral or situational questions, refine your body language, and show you how to structure your answers using frameworks like the STAR method. You will get immediate, constructive feedback so you know exactly what to improve.
Do you have experience with Victorian Government roles?
Yes. We have coached many people preparing for local, state, and federal government roles. We coach you on how to align your answers directly with key selection criteria and capability frameworks.
Can you help with executive and management-level interviews?
Absolutely. We work with senior leaders, directors, and executives across Melbourne's corporate, healthcare, finance, and tech sectors. These sessions focus on high-level strategy, demonstrating leadership capability, navigating stakeholder management questions, and communicating your value clearly to a board or executive panel.
Is it better to do the session in-person or via Zoom?
Both options are equally effective. If you have an upcoming face-to-face interview, meeting for an in-person session can help you practice your physical presence and body language. If your upcoming interview is online, doing the coaching via Zoom lets us replicate that exact digital environment, checking your camera setup, lighting, and virtual eye contact.
How much does interview coaching cost and how do I book?
Our pricing is transparent and based on the length and number of sessions you need:
-
$229.00 – 1-Hour session
-
$299.00 – 1.5-Hour session
-
$429.00 – TWO 1-Hour sessions
-
$559.00 –TWO 1.5-Hour sessions
Testimonials
Hear what our clients have to say.
"Hey Matthew, I went for my second interview in February, using all the interview techniques that you've suggested and got the position! Thank you again for helping me on such short notice and giving me pointers. I'll definitely recommend you to others who needs a mock interview and will definitely see you again if I need one next time."
"I had two interviews lined up before I met Matt. I was slightly nervous prior to these. I met Matt and we went through a sample interview together. He gave me some really good feedback and tips to take into the interviews. I ended up getting offers from both companies!! Definitely worth the time. Thank you!"
"Before being called in for any more interviews, I knew I had to revamp both my CV and cover letter. I am so grateful to have carefully done the research for these types of services offered in Melbourne as not only did Matthew edited both documents however he even did research on what my ideal prospective employer is looking for and added and edited accordingly.
What an effort that would've been however still did this as part of the service he offered.
I then decided to purchase an interview training session with him where he determined what areas I am weak in and from there he taught me how to structure a professional yet honest answer. Besides answers, he goes through body language tips and how to carefully express certain emotions during the interview.
Shortly after I got called in for a job interview and got the job the very next day! Matthew, I will 100% recommend you to all of my friends and family - thanks again!"

Mock Interviews
What's involved in a mock interview?

In a mock interview session, your coach will run through a realistic interview based on the roles you’re targeting. This includes a review of your CV, your reasons for applying, and your interest in the role, followed by a range of behavioural questions, as many as time allows.
Along the way, your coach will give you feedback and guidance to help you improve how you structure your answers, how you come across, and how clearly you communicate your experience.
By the end, you’ll have a clear idea of what’s working well and what to refine, so you can go into future interviews feeling more prepared and confident.

Outcomes
What are the learning outcomes?

In today’s hiring landscape, most employers provide little to no useful interview feedback — even after multiple rounds. That’s where we help. Our coaching offers honest, constructive feedback that recruiters and automated rejection emails don’t provide.
During mock interviews, we’ll identify what you’re doing well and where you can improve. We’ll help strengthen your examples, refine your delivery, and build your confidence so you can approach interviews feeling prepared and competitive.
By the end of the coaching session, you will:
-
Understand how to structure strong interview responses
-
Learn how to communicate your experience with clarity and confidence
-
Identify and improve weak or ineffective answers
-
Receive personalised feedback on your interview performance
-
Improve your delivery, body language, and overall presentation
-
Gain practical strategies to handle common and difficult interview questions
-
Feel more prepared, confident, and competitive in future interviews
