Do your personal interests align with the interests of the employer?

Mentioning your interests on a resume will give an employer some insight into who you are and what you enjoy outside of your professional work life.

It can help an employer understand if you are an excellent cultural fit.

However, most job ads do not require applicants to list personal interests on a resume.

If you decide to mention your interests, ensure they are relevant to the skills and abilities you will need to perform the position.
