Showing a lack of confidence in an interview and how to overcome it

Showing a lack of confidence says to an employer that you don’t accept the way you are, and an employer will notice. Signs that you are not confident includes twitching, speaking quietly, not fully answering questions and even talking too much.

Confidence is a feeling we have about ourselves, that something can be accomplished. However, becoming a naturally confident person is not going to happen overnight, and yes, nerves are unavoidable and set in when the time comes.

The best way to try and ease these nerves and show confidence is to practice first beforehand by doing a couple of mock interviews, focusing on your strengths, what you have to offer, why you want the job and areas where you feel you add value and can contribute in the role.
