Holding a graduate degree in Commerce, majoring in Economics at Curtin University, as well as a post graduate certificate in Career Education and Development at RMIT University, Matthew brings with him many years of experience working with clients from all sorts of professions, from IT to finance, education to health care, as well as construction, warehousing, finance, engineering, sales, marketing and government.

He has helped hundreds of job seekers secure employment by training and coaching them in the art of being interviewed and giving the interviewer a positive and lasting impression. He knows how to sell and market a job seeker to an employer and he imparts this knowledge to his clients in helping them sell and market themselves in an interview.

John Coppola

Interview Skills Coach

 

John has had an extensive career in the IT industry in which he has held a variety of technical and leadership roles for a number of major IT companies in Perth, where he has led large multi-disciplinary teams. The staff that he has mentored, guided and supervised range from project managers right through to software engineers. John has worked in software and hardware development. He has managed multi-million dollar bespoke projects for both government and private organisations and has worked extensively in the mining industry.

 

He has held many senior roles and personally recruited many staff members during his career. He has also managed and mentored many teams and colleagues and is therefore well qualified to provide coaching advice for interview skills. He understands how an interviewee needs to clearly express themselves to the interviewer in answering both technical and behavioural questions as well as in actually selling themselves for the position. With his considerable experience in holding senior leadership and management positions, John is able to work with clients across a range of fields.

THE PROCESS

Step 1.

Call or email us to let us know about yourself and to advise us of a time/day that is convenient for you. 

Step 2.

Send us your current CV along with links to jobs that you are interested in applying for, or if you have an interview coming up, please send us details of the role.

Step 3.

During the session, we will do one to two mock interviews or as many as time permits. Throughout the session, you will be provided with feedback and critique on how you are performing during the mock interview/s. Your coach will also teach you how to answer difficult questions, body language skills along with how to sell yourself to the employer in a succinct manner.
